The details:

  • The Social Media Producer will be responsible for maintaining UEFA’s social media presence across its primary competition accounts, including the official UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League and UEFA EURO 2020 channels.
  • This is a freelance role for a minimum of 16 shifts a month.
  • The role is to be based in our London office.

Are you the right person?

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Helping to implement UEFA’s social media strategy through an in-depth understanding of their platforms, with a key focus on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram (including IG Stories, IGTV and Reels)
  • Creating and sharing daily content that engages fans but crucially upholds, protects and builds the client’s brand and global reputation at all times
  • Assisting with the production of social media assets – including multimedia content – in line with our client’s brand guidelines
  • Writing socially-driven editorial and news updates
  • Helping fulfil client’s responsibilities to sponsors and key stakeholders via posting of branded content on Facebook, Instagram (particularly Stories) and creation of Twitter Cards
  • Moderating user-generated content in line with the moderation policy for each community
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of the content’s social performance through social insights & best practices, and acting on them accordingly
  • Directly liaising with the client and their additional suppliers/agencies/stakeholders (where relevant) to ensure a smooth, premium service

Candidate Criteria

  • Proven, long-held (4 years minimum) experience in social media, particularly in a live environment
  • Excellent communication and photo editing skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail, particularly when under pressure
  • Able to provide examples of particularly creative/engaging social media posts
  • Deep knowledge of (and passion for) football and in particular European football
  • Awareness/understanding of Twitter & Facebook integrated analytics tools (e.g. Facebook insights)
  • Basic knowledge of graphic design software (e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator, etc) and SEO would be an advantage
  • Exceptional and well-established stakeholder management and client relation stills
