Job Title – Digital Insight Assistant - Internship

Location – Stamford Bridge

Hours – 12 Month FTC, 35 hours per week, 5 from 7

What We’re Looking For:

We’re looking for a Digital Insight Assistant to join our internship programme. This role will be a key part of the Insights team at Chelsea Football Club, the Digital Insight Assistant will assist the Senior Business Analyst in reporting on web, app and social performance to deliver actionable business insights and recommendations.

This involves interrogating and analysing business data across a wide variety of reporting tools and translating findings into practical recommendations to help enhance product and campaign effectiveness.

This is a great opportunity to learn new tools, develop analytical skills and experience how we use data to influence business decisions at one of the world's top football clubs.

-      Use a range of analytics tools to deliver actionable insight to help drive strategic initiatives, providing in-depth analysis of web, app and social performance and the impact of marketing campaigns.

-      Build reports and visual dashboards that support key business needs, interrogating and manipulating complex data sets in order to do so

-      Own and maintain the Business Analytics library, ensuring documentation is up-to-date

-      Proactively seek, discover and communicate new insight opportunities from new and existing data sets


Must Haves/qualified by demonstrable experience to the level required:

-      Numerate with excellent Excel skills

-      Understanding of relational databases and experience of using SQL to manage or interrogate data

-      Confident and clear communicator

-      An interest in digital analysis and sport


Nice to Haves:

-      A graduate or currently studying a subject with relevance to data analysis, e.g. Maths, Statistics or Computer Science and on course to achieve a 2:1 in your degree

-      Experience of using the Looker data analytics platform

-      Experience of using data visualisation tools, e.g. Tableau or Google Data Studio

-      Experience of and understanding of web analytics

-      Experience of using app analytics tools, e.g. Flurry or App Annie

-      Experience of using social analytics tools, e.g. Synthesio or Sprinklr
