Job Description

Role: Event Officer - Ipswich Town Foundation

Working Pattern: Working hours 37.5 (Including match days)
Salary: £17,000.00 - £22,000.00
Location: To be discussed at interview

About You:

You will be an ambitious and enthusiastic professional, who is flexible, and target driven and has an ability to recognise new opportunities and retain existing relationships to deliver an annual programme of engaging events for our local Community. You will have a thorough understanding of planning, organising and delivering successful events across all programmes and departments within the Foundation.

Job Role Outline:

This role will organise, plan and deliver a variety of events for the Ipswich Town Foundation. You will work with all departments within the Foundation, supporting programme leads to deliver successful events in schools, for NCS, Post-16 Football and Education, Football Development, Community Open Access provision and larger scale events to generate income for the charity.

Job Objectives:

  • Maintain a flexible approach to provide high levels of engagement and support to events for all departments of the Foundation;
  • Help to increase Ipswich Town Foundations reach in the local community through running a variety of events;
  • Develop internal and external partnerships to enhance range and scale of events.

Job Aims:

  • To deliver an exceptional experience for all members of the local community engaging with any Ipswich Town Foundation organized events.
  • Work with Programme Leads to develop an annual calendar of events for the Foundation to run
  • Increase participation in existing and new events
  • Work with the marketing and public relations departments to develop branding, advertise and celebrate event successes
  • Operate events within allocated budgets, preparing reports where required
  • Manage any staff or volunteers assisting with the delivery of events
  • Complete appropriate risk assessments for each event
  • Develop, sustain, and enhance relationships with local stakeholders, businesses, and potential partners
  • Be an ambassador for the Ipswich Town Foundation at all times

Essential:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Willingness to work unsocial hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • A drive to help people achieve their goals through sport.
  • Experience and proven track record of delivering organisational outcomes
  • Excellent IT skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Able to produce accurate written work
  • Hold Full Driving licence
