Job Description

Main goal

The Intelligence Assistant works to safeguard the integrity of European football competitions by providing high-level support to the anti-match-fixing unit’s monitoring, intelligence and investigation programmes, contributing in particular to the effective and efficient management of intelligence and betting fraud alerts.

 

Key responsibilities

- Coordinating the end-to-end management of intelligence and betting fraud alerts throughout the full alert life cycle, ensuring seamless alert collection, dissemination and tracking;

- Assisting with the management and maintenance of the unit’s case; management system to ensure the quality, completeness and relevance of data included therein, in accordance with the relevant data privacy requirements and UEFA standards;

- Submitting formal requests for information in support of intelligence requirements and managing the related tracking and follow-up in line with the unit's priorities;

- Liaising with UEFA’s network of national association integrity officers to understand local intelligence needs and support them in achieving their anti-match-fixing objectives;

- Providing administrative support to the head of unit upon request;

- Organising and providing logistical support for meetings, integrity events and workshops upon request;

- Participating in the unit’s meetings and producing, editing and distributing minutes of those meetings when necessary;

- Managing detailed Excel/Tableau files used to document and analyse suspicious match alerts;

- Contributing to the efficient management of the unit’s inbox and coordinating with other unit members on timely follow-up;

- Improving knowledge management processes and procedures

 

Profile

Experience required:

- From 1 to 3 years' experience in an international organisation, ideally in sports integrity, intelligence, betting integrity, law enforcement or similar.

 

Education:

- Bachelor's in a relevant field

- Familiarity with analytical tools and software, such as Tableau, IBM i2 Analyst Notebook or similar

 

Languages:

- English / Proficient

- French / Intermediate

- Working knowledge of one or more other European languages would be an asset

 

Additional requirements:

- MS Excel / Advanced - MS Word / Advanced

- Strong commitment to integrity in sport

- Excellent spoken and written communication skills

- Experience in programme and database management - Knowledge of betting markets and odds movements would be a strong asset

- Pragmatic, communicative and able to multitask in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment

- Strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills and an ability to execute tasks effectively while keeping the unit's priorities in mind

- Experience working in an international environment
