The club plan to have a number of different youth age groups and will compete in London County Saturday Youth League for the following age groups: Trainings / Matches will be on Thu pm / Sat am at Barn Elms Sport Centre Sw13 0DG.
The head of youth department responsibilities include:
Essential qualifications, skills, and abilities
· Sport management and /or FA Coaching qualification Level 1 minimum
- Previous work in similar role within youth department
- SW / W / S London based
· First Aid & Safeguarding Certifications
· FA DBS Certification - will be initiated by the club if individual does not have valid up to date DBS record
- UK resident
· Effective communication skills
· Leadership qualities
· Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and passionate about football coaching
This is volunteer role with 8-10 hours weekly commitment. The club will provide coaching kits, equipment and benefits such as deals / vouchers from sponsors, free refreshments (drinks and fruits) on site. Barnes Football Club was established in 1862 (6th oldest club in England) and had great importance in the development of football in 19th century. It is a founder member of the FA and the club took part in first ever FA Cup in 1871-72 with 15 consecutive editions of the competition.
The adult first team is playing Step 8 Kingston Premier Division (currently top of division aiming for promotion to Step 7) and youth teams are playing London County Saturday Youth League.
