Job Description

Main goal

UEFA Event Transport is responsible for planning and implementing transportation services and parking operations for the UEFA EURO, club finals and corporate events, such as draws and the annual UEFA Congress. The Event Transport Team Leader is in charge of leading a team of coordinators and freelancers handling the planning and implementation of event transport operations for club finals and corporate events.

The Event Transport Team Leader manages the team that plans club finals and corporate events, ensuring processes and procedures are implemented consistently throughout the team. The incumbent applies a set of technical skills related to event transport operations in combination with various project and risk management methods.

 

Key responsibilities

- Supporting the Event Transport Manager in the development of cross-event strategies and initiatives to continuously improve the planning and delivery of operations;

- Monitoring budgets and supporting the implementation of supplier management strategies for the purposes of cost control and effectiveness;

- Supporting the team on procurement and contract management;

- Monitoring progress and providing support across multiple project plans;

- Identifying, managing and reporting operational risks;

- Working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure service level consistency across events;

- Attending and presenting at internal and external stakeholder meetings;

- Providing technical support and guidance whenever necessary.

 

Profile

 

Experience required:

- from 4 to 6 years' experience in complex project management, ideally in a multicultural environment

- from 1 to 3 years' experience leading a team; previous experience in the event transport, venue management or access management sectors would be an asset

- from 1 to 3 years' experience of working on large-scale sport events is considered a strong asset

 

Education:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, ideally relating to transport, logistics or supply chains

- Other Certificate in project or risk management

 

Languages:

- English / Proficient
