The role

An exciting opportunity has become available for an organised and confident Office Administrator at a pivotal time of transition and change for Burnley Football Club.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the day to day running of the offices at Turf Moor by organising the administrative activities that facilitate the smooth running of the departments.

Role expectations

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Office Administrator will be expected to:

  • Manage, organise, and supervise all the administrative activities that facilitate the smooth running of the departments at Turf Moor.
  • Act as the first point of contact for all operational enquiries including IT, housekeeping, mobile phones, phone system etc.
  • Ensure that business diaries are maintained, organise appointments and make travel arrangements.
  • Line manage the reception team ensuring support and guidance is delivered in order to maintain a welcoming and first-class welcome at Turf Moor.
  • Facilitating communications between the Chairman and others as required.
  • Documentation preparation for meetings.
  • To be able to work flexible hours where the role of the job requires.
  • Promote the Burnley Football Club brand and ethos in a professional, strong and positive manner.

An ideal candidate will have;


  • English GCSE Grade A-C or equivalent.
  • Exceptional administration skills.
  • Highly organised and methodical approach to workload.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbally.
  • Effective diary management and time management skills.



  • Experience of managing staff.
  • Proven experience in a similar role.
