Position Overview: 
The Hartford Athletic Performance Analyst Intern (2) will assist the coaching staff and Technical Director to optimize the processes efficiency through data analysis, video analysis and preparation of materials regarding game, training, opposition, individual and scouting reports. The Technical Director and Head Coach will oversee and guide intern’s actions. Hartford Athletic is looking for both summer interns and season long interns to build on its analytics department. 

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Collectively work on recording, cutting, and preparing film from games and training 
  • Prepare materials for games, training sessions, individual player reports, and opposing team analysis
  • Scout upcoming opponents as directed 
  • Assist in creating post-match clips of film for analysis 
  • Create reports using footage from games, training, and individual sessions
  • Other projects and assignments as directed by Technical Director and Head Coach 

Desired Qualifications:
  • A strong understanding of soccer via experience playing and/or coaching 
  • Candidate lives with Connecticut or within 45 minutes of Hartford, CT 
  • Proficient in computer softwares such as Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint) and iWork (Pages, KeyNote, Numbers, iMovie), video analysis/editing softwares (SportsCode, Hudl, Spiideo, Wyscout, Metrica Play, Instat)
  • Maintain highest level of professionalism and confidentiality within a pro-team environment is required
  • Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented and have a strong sense of accountability.
  • Ability to work 40-44 hours per week, including nontraditional hours in nontraditional settings, including holidays, nights and weekends.
  • Strong communication skills.
