To ensure the successful operational delivery of the ninth edition of this competition, we have set up a Local FIFA Subsidiary (LFS). Its aim is to improve the experience of over 1.1 billion people watching the FIFA Women's World Cup, by delivering innovative solutions across all operational areas.

We are currently looking to recruit our Accreditation Verification Manager - Australia

Job responsibilities
The Accreditation Verification Manager Australia will be responsible for the successful planning, setup and implementation and delivery of the Background Check process in Australia liaising with government agencies and ensuring a successful integration and delivery between the FIFA Accreditation System and tournament operations.
 
This role will involve working with a dedicated Accreditation team within the FIFA Women's World Cup 2023™ under the guidance of the Accreditation Managers in Australia and FIFA Zurich and working collaboratively with Accreditation team members and colleagues in Australia, New Zealand, and Zurich.
 
The Accreditation team has a direct impact on safety and security of the tournament. Not only does it affect operations, but it also has a bearing on people's first impression and lasting perception of the entire tournament. It is essential that accreditation is managed and operated to the highest standards.
 
Job duties
The Accreditation Verification Manager - Australia will be responsible for:
  • Contributing to the success of the tournament by delivering the accreditation project on time and to the required standards
  • Supporting the Accreditation team in developing and implementing background check processes, particularly in relation to the processing of participant data through the various stages of their accreditation journey
  • Liaising and collaborating with host country government authorities, to secure their support on security background check and effective integration into tournament operations
  • Maintain close relationship with all stakeholders to ensure optimal business and operational outcomes for seamless integration across the background check systems and platforms
  • Ensure compliance of background check verification practices in line with legislative and regulatory requirements, standards, and other known relevant policies and guidelines
  • Working with safety, security and access functional areas, Government Agencies and working groups stakeholders to develop a background check process that meets the needs of tournament operations
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the background check process with government agencies and the accreditation systems team
  • Ensure all documentation and data fields for the background check process meets the GDPR and local data protection laws
  • Develop policies and procedures in relation to the background check process
  • Educate and assist all ACR areas on the background check requirements to ensure all BGC requirements are met
  • Contribute to Client Constituent Groups handbooks and manuals
  • Understanding of the basic functionality of the FIFA Accreditation System
  • Obtaining and developing a very good understanding of all accreditation policies and procedures of the FIFA Women's World Cup 2023™ from registration to distribution
  • Understand the accreditation registration processes and operations in Australia
  • Performing all necessary tasks of the background check process to ensure it runs smoothly from the Accreditation department's point
  • Supporting the Accreditation department in the collation and creation of accreditation reports
  • Assisting FIFA HQ Zurich in setting up and managing the tournament in the FIFA Accreditation System
