Hartford Athletic, Connecticut’s pro soccer team competing in the USL Championship, and the City of Hartford, is seeking to hire a multiple stadium operation interns for EDS Management, a stadium management company for Trinity Health Stadium, to help compliment the stadium management role for Hartford Athletic matches as well as for other non-soccer events including concerts, festivals, and more at Trinity Health Stadium.
Report directly to the Stadium Manager and complete all instructions provided by him
Participate in all aspects of the conversion process for various event(s) execution. Duties include manually setting up and tearing down event equipment such as tables, chairs, bike racks, banners, trash cans, etc
Work Hartford Athletic matches as well as community events held at Trinity Health Stadium.
Have the ability Operate power tools and other equipment in a safe and professional manner, with the help of the Stadium Manager.
Assist other departments with any manual tasks and work at the discretion of the Stadium Manager.
Consistently work on stadium maintenance of the turf, buildings, and other areas of the stadium that are deemed necessary.
Perform any preventative maintenance tasks on any Operations Equipment.
Report irregularities, discrepancies, damages, loss of property or any other safety concerns to either the Stadium Manager.
Assist in keeping inventory of building tools, machinery, cleaning supplies and building equipment.
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills:
Currently enrolled in a college/university and need college credit
Must be able to work flexible hours, dictated by the Stadium Manager, while possibly working nights and weekends
Must be able to lift 50lbs
Must be able to handle manual labor job duties
Ability to work independently to accomplish daily and event duties
Must have some working knowledge of basic building operating systems and cleaning procedures
Must have a valid driver’s license
Must be able to use basic hand and power tools
Knowledge of safety practices and all applicable safety standards for public facilities
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, building tenants and the public
