Barnes FC is coming back! Be part of long-term ambitious plan and be ready to step in to put 6th oldest club in England where it belongs. The club will be playing with Adult Men team in season 2022/23 under Surrey FA county competition.

The Safeguarding Officer, along with Welfare Officer is one of the most important roles in a club.

The responsibilities include:

  • Comply with the club's safeguarding strategy and procedures
  • Direct report to Welfare Officer
  • On site safeguarding with youth teams
  • Keep in contact with parents in case of any issue
  • Saturday match safeguarding

Essential qualifications, skills, and abilities

  • Ideally SW London based
  • Up to date FA DBS check
  • Up to date FA safeguarding courses
  • Ideally, the candidate would have a knowledge of safeguarding procedures and FA rules
  • Great verbal and written communication
  • Excellent organisation and a good eye for detail
  • Is able to problem-solve

This is a volunteer role on a 4-6 hours a week, 2 hours Thu afternoon and 2-3 hours on Saturday (early pm) . The club will provide with a number of benefits and deals / vouchers from sponsors.
