In August 2019, TKFC LC was granted Major League Soccer’s (MLS) 28th team – St. Louis CITY SC. The team will be MLS’ first majority female-owned and female-led organization has its sights set on launching for the 2023 MLS season. The 100 percent St. Louis based owners are committed to becoming an exceptional club and neighbor and a symbol for the future of our city and region. The team will be a part of the fabric of St. Louis and become a symbol for the future of the city and region. St. Louis CITY SC will play in a brand new, state of the art soccer stadium to be built on approximately 30 acres in downtown St. Louis, Missouri. Seating capacity of the open-air stadium will be approximately 22,500. In addition, the team Administrative Offices and Training Facility will be immediately adjacent to the stadium in Downtown West St. Louis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Create and advance a top nationally recognized Academy program, that develops players so that advancement in our system is achieved.
Establish and execute short- and long-term visions of the Academy through strategic planning, operational management and strong leadership and development of people, ensuring the Academy can deliver well rounded soccer players into the professional game.
Plan, organize and execute training sessions and oversee to assure proper execution of programs.
Manage and oversee the Academy budget.
Conduct coaching education sessions.
Ensure the goals, strategy and measurable short-term and long-term performance targets for all aspects of the work of the Academy are aligned with the St. Louis CITY’s vision and coaching/playing philosophy.
Measure the performance of the Academy each year against the planned goals, objectives, strategy and specific performance targets set out in the Academy plan and ensure that appropriate action is taken if the performance targets have not been met.
Develop relationships with all soccer clubs, schools, the broader soccer community and establish satellite club locations.
Conduct training sessions and coach the U16 team.
Stay up to date on coaching licenses and badges.
Staff and coach at events and training camps.
Attend outside events with the purpose of networking, building relationships and engaging the community.
Regularly produce accurate updates on activity, performance, outside appointments and event recaps.
Contribute positively to a competitive team culture and participate in team meetings and training sessions.
Skills and Abilities
Must have experience in Major League Soccer, Youth Development and have completed the Pro License Course through US Soccer or UEFA A License.
Proven ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Strong leadership and management experience.
Expert knowledge to identify, develop and support soccer talent regarding players and staff.
A clear sense of vision and purpose to drive actions and to encourage innovation and creativity throughout the staff.
Set and maintain a high standard of work performance, delivering quality consistently and effectively.
Experience in business management/financial management/budget planning.
Effective communication skills with an emphasis on clearly communicating the mission, vision of the Academy and club culture with players, families, coaches and community members.
Candidate should possess a professional demeanor and communication skills to effectively work with both internal and external constituents.
Accurate, efficient, and timely execution of tasks and able to be flexible and resourceful in response to changing priorities and needs.
Excellent facilitation skills, including the ability to manage and resolve tensions, disputes and conflicts.
Demonstrate a strong knowledge of football tactics, sport science and multidisciplinary development.
Detail oriented and organized with effective time management and prioritization skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, with a focus on Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Must be able to work evenings, weekends, events, and holidays as required.
