Job Description

Status: Part-time, seasonal 
Timeframe: March through October
Hours: Up to 10 per week (including gamedays)
Compensation: $15.00/hour
Our primary focus in the entertainment department is making the fan experience as entertaining as possible for our loyal fan base by brainstorming, planning, and executing creative ideas on game night for fans who are in the venue and fans who are following from home. The Game Entertainment Associate will work with the Game Entertainment Manager and Vice President of Game Entertainment/Community Investment to implement game night production, execution, and activation. We welcome candidates who are quick learners, creative thinkers, are intellectually curious, organized and interested in professional soccer and growth of the city of Sacramento.
  • Assist with implementation and execution of multi-faceted plan for all aspects of game night entertainment
  • Help Game Entertainment Manager with utilization of a variety of media assets including graphics, animations, audio and video resources for the videoboard.
  • Attend all Republic FC games and assisting stage managers with pregame, halftime, and post-match.
  • On gamedays, ensure that guests comply with Republic FC’s policies and procedures, including those related to COVID-19 safety requirements.
  • Assist in planning and execution of emcee with live streaming on social media.
  • Engage in research and creative brainstorming sessions to maximize exciting and entertainment videos, activations, and on-field performances and live hits.
  • Assist with the booking of halftime talent and national anthem singers and various other performance groups.
  • Required: 
    • Attend all home games and other scheduled Entertainment events, which fall on nights and weekends 
    • Capable of making quick and intelligent decisions 
    • Able to work independently and in a fast-paced work environment 
    • Must adhere to Republic FC COVID-19 Protocols, which include wearing a mask at all times. 
  • Preferred: 
    • Ability to think creatively and quickly with problem solving skills 
    • Passion for Sacramento, soccer, and growing the sport 
    • Experience in event planning or production 
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While new health and safety protocols will be in place, the Game Entertainment Associate may interact directly with the public. The employee is exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, depending on the event as well as the location.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift and/or carry supplies; stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
