About the opportunity: We are offering an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, highly motivated, hardworking individual to join a dynamic Finance team here at Everton Football Club.


We are looking for a Management Accountant to support in the preparation and completion of monthly management accounts that are shared with the Executive Management Team and Board of Directors, as well as completing accounting procedures within the Finance department for the Club.

Other core responsibilities as part of this role include:


  • Ensuring accurate Balance Sheet reconciliations each month end.
  • Responding to requests for financial information and analyses from Department Heads (which may include non-financial stakeholders), which may arise on an ad hoc basis.
  • Assisting with the preparation of annual budget packs and support to Department Heads when completing their own budgets.
  • Oversee and maintain the Customer journey between the wider business and Finance department.
  • Preparation and completion of monthly P and L forecasts for a number of individual cost centres produced to a standard appropriate for delivery to the Reporting Team.


Who we are looking for; Essentially, we are looking for part qualified/newly qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) who has a logical and structured approach to problem solving.


Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate experience of producing management reports using professionally accepted techniques and have knowledge of Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow systems.

This position is on a permanent basis and will be contacted to 35 hours per week.
