Job Description

Stoke City Football Club of the English Football League is looking for an Apprentice Groundsperson to support its facilities operations at the bet365 Stadium and our training ground facility at Clayton Wood in Trent Vale. 

We are looking to expand our grounds team with a dedicated, highly motivated and professional individual who has a passion for grounds maintenance. Reporting to the Grounds Manager and Deputy Grounds Manager, you will be involved in ensuring all types of playing surfaces are prepared to a high standard at the bet365 Stadium, Clayton Wood Training Ground and our indoor pitch facilities, for both play and training.

Main Responsibilities

  • Operating grounds maintenance machinery.
  • Repairing pitches after use.
  • Carrying out general grounds duties such as grass cutting and line marking.
  • General maintenance of landscape areas on all sites.

The positions will be offered on a full time basis and all relevant raining will be provided.

The role requires a high degree of flexibility to cover weekends as well as early mornings, evenings and matchday fixtures.
