The Experiential Marketing Specialist is part of the Marketing and Communications Department for Minnesota United Football Club (MNUFC), a sports business located in the Twins Cities area of Minnesota and a member of Major League Soccer (MLS), the top tier soccer league in North America.
The Experiential Marketing Specialist is a full-time position responsible for supporting the Marketing and Events team. The role will help bring Minnesota United (MNUFC) brand to life through in-stadium game presentation, club events and brand growth initiatives. This position will communicate, assist and execute experiences and events, while working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to meet established goals. The Experiential Marketing Specialist will manage a team of event leads and brand ambassadors and team mascot.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist the Director of Experiential Marketing with strategy of brand growth initiatives, planning of game presentation elements in-stadium, event and activations
Manage a team of brand ambassadors including staffing, scheduling, and training
Manage the booking process and schedule of team mascot, PK
Manage and oversee away game viewing parties
Act as main point of contact for experiential marketing initiatives, events, and activations
Work with the Director of Experiential Marketing to execute game day duties; timeline, run of show and on-field fan experiences
Activate footprints according to MNUFC brand standards
Manage the company van including keeping up with maintenance checks, scheduling, and working with other departments on requests and needs
Oversee and manage experiential inventory
Assist the club eMLS program and overall esports initiative
Write pre-event descriptions and post-event recaps
Outstanding communication skills including working well with other departments
Strong reporting and tracking skills
Experience managing others
Unparalleled attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Be self-motivated with a positive attitude, able to work without constant direction Takes pride in collaboration and creating a positive working environment
Bachelor Degree in relevant field or coursework
At least 3+ years of experience in events, experiential marketing, street team, or related field
Ability to work effectively in Microsoft suite including creating presentations and managing a variety of spreadsheets within excel.
Availability to work flexible hours as needed including evenings, weekends, and potential holidays, with the ability to work all MNUFC home games
