Job Description

St. Louis CITY SC is seeking a dynamic, strategic, and proactive Technology Solutions Design Engineer. This person will be responsible for maintaining a deep, technical knowledge and thorough understanding of solution design, constraints, and operational approaches - while developing collaborative partnerships with stakeholders to build and implement technology solutions, as well as actively anticipate and solve problems during and after delivery. In this role, you will lead operational and strategic activities in our growing IT environment. In addition, you will lead project planning, provide technical leadership, and will work within your own area, as well as across functional teams.

In August 2019, TKFC LC was granted Major League Soccer's (MLS) 28th team St. Louis CITY SC. The team will be MLS' first majority female-owned and female-led team, and has its sights set on bringing the MLS Cup to America's first soccer capital.   • Contributes to the development of strategic planning for the department and communicates clear, concise strategic vision.
  • Define approach and lead the integration of SaaS solutions.
  • Applies advanced knowledge of professional concepts and company objectives to resolve a wide range of complex issues in creative and effective ways.
  • Subject matter expert in multiple areas of responsibility; represents team within and outside own department.
  • Leads project planning; provides technical leadership to project teams and/or leads project teams within own area/department and across functional teams.
  • Works on large, complex initiatives that address future concepts, products, or technologies; analyzes and evaluates all variable factors and risk.
  • Has significant autonomy over day-to-day work and the planning of new assignments or projects.
  • Defines, develops, communicates, and implements standards, processes, and procedures for the team or department.
  • Maintains effective relationships with all levels of company management, internal and external customers that promotes understanding and produces results for both parties
  • Accurately scopes deliverables including dependencies, risks, and issues to ensure seamless delivery, technology effectiveness and security.
  • Provides guidance and oversight on technical matters within a solution to ensure that the technologies are secure, interoperate and connect appropriately and support company vision and strategy.
  • Listens to and evaluates business needs to determine and provide high quality solutions that align with club expectations; Identifies opportunities for improvement; ensures others are aligned with expectations.
  • Protects our customers, our employees, and our brand by incorporating security and compliance in all decisions; ensures security policy and procedure requirements are met; continuously identifies opportunities for improving security and implements strategies to improve our security posture

  • 8+ years of related experience
  • Proven expertise in designing and managing the following technologies: 
    • Microsoft Office Suite including SharePoint, Teams and/or other productivity and collaboration tools. 
    • Active Directory 
    • Microsoft Group Policy 
    • Windows Desktop Operating Systems 
  • Additional experience in designing and managing the following technologies: 
    • Azure Active Directory 
    • ADFS 
    • Microsoft Conditional Access and Multi-Factor Authentication 
    • Microsoft Intune 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field
  • Functional knowledge of Apple Mac Laptops and the Mac Operating Systems
