Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced candidate to join the Technology Department at Norwich City Football Club in the role of IT Technician. This is an excellent role for someone who is proactive, methodical and inventive, with a strong focus on problem solving and record keeping.

Key tasks/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Act as an escalation point for support requests received into the helpdesk
  • Manage and progress calls and support requests to a timely resolution
  • Resolve incidents if appropriate or escalate to the relevant internal or external stakeholder
  • Ensure backups are consistent and valid
  • Ensure anti-virus is and spam monitoring software is updated and current
  • Monitor servers and provide regular health checks
  • Install, configure and update software applications used by the business including desktops operating systems
  • Monitor the Club’s network health using network monitoring tools, escalating where appropriate
  • Ensuring the asset register is correctly maintained and valid at all times
  • Other IT team and system tasks as required
  • To cover home game matchday IT operations support on a rotational basis alongside the rest of the IT Team

The successful candidate will ideally have experience working within IT support and knowledge of one or more of the following:

  • Microsoft Windows 10
  • Microsoft Windows server 2008/2012/2016/2019
  • Basic networking skills such as knowledge of DHCP, DNS, LAN
  • Basic knowledge of commercial EPOS systems and PDQ terminals
  • Basic understanding of AV technologies such as Clickshare
