Job Description

Purpose: 

Based on the market, content producers will be required to execute content creation, deliver against specific plans and support regional content managers as required.

Role specific accountabilities:

1. End to end responsibility for the delivery of editorial video, gfx content for Man City:

  • With close liaison with centralised content, the team develop content strands for Man City O&O platforms with and without match footage
  • With close liaison with a centralised international team developing content strands for other relevant platforms used in the market
  • Developing social media-focused video/gfx, with an in-depth understanding of the various platforms

2. Social media content:

  • Responsible for the creation of high quality and engaging Man City social media content that strongly resonates with each market across a range of demographics
  • Creating regular Man City news updates tailored to the market including subtitling of global content
  • Facilitation of deep engagement within social media groups of Man City fans

3. Market landscape intelligence:

  • Provides regional content managers with regular updates about the landscape of the market they are based in. Examples include social and digital media trends, media best practices in the market, demographic information, competitor activity etc.
  • Helping RCM with regional strategy development

4. Fan Engagement and Development:

  • Responsible for engaging with fans based in a given market via media channels
  • Lead on running in market competitions and helping to drive Cityzen conversions where possible
  • Develop a good relationship with engaged Man City fans in the market
  • Along with regional content managers, content producers responsible for identifying, recruiting and leveraging influencers

Role specific knowledge, skills and experience:

Essential:

 

  • Native or Bilingual proficiency in the French language for the market (spoken and written)
  • Good English language skills (spoken and written).
  • Passion and knowledge for all things football and video production and distribution.
  • Good knowledge of latest media/marketing trends being adopted by clubs and leagues in the market, but also region.
  • Strong editorial abilities and able to provide multiple bespoke versions of the same content for various platforms (YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, man city.co.uk etc.)
  • Up-to-date knowledge and passion about social media trends, apps and digital innovations in the market.   
  • Strong attention to detail, especially with regards to content delivery.
  • Able to work flexible hours, including working matchday weekends.
  • Possess creativity and the ability to take Man City content to next level.
  • You will have sufficient experience in creating video in the digital space, showing signs (in a showreel or individual clips/videos) of editing skills and shooting skills.

Desirable:

 

  • Knowledge of the Company’s tone of voice and brand guidelines (training will be provided).
  • Knowledge of the Company’s digital portfolio.
  • Knowledge of Man City players most relevant/popular to market.
  • Strong network in the media industry for the given market
  • Prior experience in market-wide media and marketing campaigns
  • Confident shooting on Sony FS5, Panasonic GH4, Canon C3oo, Sony PMW200 or equivalent. 
  • Excellent social, graphic and video production skill set (gfx etc.)
