Job Description

JOB TITLE: Berkshire & Buckinghamshire Co-ordinator
DEPARTMENT: Foundation, Community, Surrey & Berkshire
REPORTING TO: Marc Plumbley, Berkshire & Buckinghamshire Officer
JOB FUNCTION: To deliver & support a high quality sports provision across Berkshire & Buckinghamshire.
DIRECT REPORTS: Berks & Bucks coaches and sessional workers
LOCATION: The Piggott School, Wargrave, Reading. Berkshire.
CONTRACT: 40 hours per week, Full time permanent contract 
 
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES (Play Your Part):
•       To co-ordinate, oversee and deliver across the programmes, and to guide and support in the development and growth of the programme in Berkshire & Buckinghamshire.
•       To support the area lead in the effective planning and delivery of after school clubs, lunch time clubs, breakfast clubs, curriculum coaching and player pathway programmes.
•       To actively seek additional sporting opportunities across Berkshire & Buckinghamshire to further develop, and to enhance the delivery of the programme.
•       To develop and enhance relationships with schools and local clubs in Berkshire & Buckinghamshire to ensure a flow of players trialling and attending PDP sessions.
•       To support all sessional staff through relevant training, CPD and mentoring.
•       To seek opportunities to implement new initiatives to enhance the delivery programme.
•       To carry out duties with regard to relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
•       To undertake any Foundation activities that maybe required in addition to the role. 
•       To deliver on other Foundation programmes to ensure the successful delivery across a wide range of sessions as needed and required.
•       To work closely and support the area lead to ensure all financial aspects of the Berkshire & Buckinghamshire programme are managed efficiently and effectively.
•       To lead and develop the player pathway activity and raise the levels of quality including a comprehensive matchday programme across Berkshire & Buckinghamshire.
•       To lead on quality assurance of all activity in Berkshire & Buckinghamshire.
•       To be a positive role model, creating a safe, positive and fun environment in which to motivate and encourage young people to succeed and develop.
•       To build relationships where possible and relevant with local authorities, government departments, football authorities, education authorities and other appropriate agencies.
•       To implement a recruitment drive where and when necessary in line with the business need.
 
Other activities
1.     To support the effective implementation and sustainability of the programme.
2.     To ensure all staff comply with the Safeguarding, Equal Opportunities and Health and Safety policies at all times.
3.     To attend all relevant training identified and provided by Chelsea FC Foundation and central management teams.
4.     To submit reports and updates as agreed in the KPI’s and objectives set
5.     To ensure that finances for all activities are collected or invoiced effectively and efficiently

PERSONAL SPECIFICATION:
Qualifications:
Essential
•       1st 4 Sport Level 2 FA coaching award.  
•       In date FA Safeguarding children & first aid certificate. 
•       An enhanced DBS check 
•       Clean driving licence. 
Desirable 
•       1st 4 Sport Level 3 coaching award.
•       Other sports qualifications. 
•       A Levels, degrees and/or masters. 
 
Experience:
Essential
•       Overseen a project or team to achieve set targets
•       An understanding of working to a budget. 
•       An understanding of community sport. 
Desirable
•       3 years of managing a project or a team
•       To have devised and managed a budget
•       1st 4 Sport Level 3 coaching award.
•       Other sports qualifications.
