Job Description

JOB TITLE: Football Projects Manager
DEPARTMENT: Foundation – Community – Football Projects
REPORTING TO: Daniel Jacquart, Head of Football Development
JOB FUNCTION: To oversee, co-ordinate and support the delivery of high quality football provision across the various projects.
DIRECT REPORTS: Sessional workers
LOCATION: Chelsea FC Training Facility, Cobham, Surrey.
CONTRACT: 40 hours per week, Full time Permanent contract 
•        To manage the relationships with CMT language school & summer camp provider and co-ordinate the delivery programme during the summer, supporting and involving each working area. To ensure the language school provision that is delivered maintains the high standards expected.
•        To manage the relationship with Super Camps and co-ordinate the delivery programme across the year, supporting and involving each working area. To develop the programme beyond the three year agreement in place.  
•        To manage the relationships with Parkdean Resorts and co-ordinate the delivery programme across the year, supporting and involving each working area. To develop the programme beyond the three-year agreement in place. To develop the delivery programme. To recruit in local areas to resorts in order to build a local workforce that is able to deliver the programme.
•        To develop a strategic plan to support the growth and development of College Academies across all Community working areas. To work closely with other Club departments to develop a multi department careers day for Colleges. To develop and implement consistent themes across all colleges.
•        To work with each area lead ensuring that all football projects being delivered compliment and support the existing core programme.
•        To seek new and innovative football and sport projects/programmes to further develop the working areas portfolios. To identify and implement a new football project every 2 years. To replace any football programmes that don’t renew their CAA immediately.
•        To lead on all quality assurance checks for the special projects being delivered. To create coaching syllabuses for the projects and programmes.
•       To lead on the use that the Community Department has at Chelsea FC Training Ground. To attend weekly facility meetings and share relevant info with the Team. To maximise use and efficiencies for all. 
•       Seek opportunities to implement new initiatives to enhance the delivery of projects and programmes across all working areas.
•       To be a positive role model, creating a safe, positive and fun environment in which to motivate and encourage young people to succeed and develop.
•       To build relationships where possible and relevant with local authorities, government departments, football authorities, education authorities and other appropriate agencies.
  • To carry out duties with regard to relevant legislation, policies and procedures. 
  • To undertake any Foundation activities that may be required in addition to the role. 
  • To implement a recruitment drive where and when necessary in line with the business need.
•        To manage the relationships with InspireSport and co-ordinate the trips and touring groups to the Chelsea FC Training Ground. To liaise with InspireSports regarding group requirements.
•       To ensure the effective implementation, sustainability and growth of the projects and programmes.
•       To ensure all staff and volunteers comply with the Safeguarding, Equality and Diversity, GDPR and Health and Safety policies at all times.
•       To attend all relevant training identified and provided by Chelsea FC Foundation and central management teams.
•       To submit reports and updates as agreed in the KPI’s and objectives set
•       To ensure that finances for all activities are collected or invoiced effectively and efficiently
•        1st 4 Sport Level 2 sporting coaching award.  
•        In date FA Safeguarding children & emergency first aid certificate. 
•        Clean driving licence. 
•        Enhanced DBS disclosure 
•        1st 4 Sport Level 3 coaching award.
•        Other sports qualifications. 
•        A Levels, degrees and/or masters. 
•        Worked as part of a team.
•        An understanding of working to a budget.  
•        Overseen projects and a team to achieve set targets. 
•             3 years of managing projects.
•             A Levels, degrees and/or masters.
The Employee must at all times carry out his/her responsibilities with due regard to Chelsea FC Foundation policies and procedures in particular Health & Safety, Financial Authorisation, Confidentiality and with regard to the Data Protection Act. The Employee must act to protect all young people and vulnerable adults that are in their care or attending the Company’s premises.  The Employee must report any misconduct or suspected misconduct to the Safeguarding Lead.
