Customer Success Manager  - North America

TransferRoom launched in 2017 and is today a sustainable, fast growing B2B SAAS business, navigating the exciting challenges of the scale up phase.

Our mission is to empower every football (soccer) club in every league in the world to be successful in the transfer market. We do this by giving our customers instant access to the best market information and a second-to-none network of global connections.

We are looking for an experienced Customer Success Manager to join our team and focus on our North American  customers (football clubs and agencies).



Happy, active, engaged users are your primary purpose. You will have the opportunity to own a portfolio of clients and be responsible for their success; you will turn every newly onboarded customer into a TransferRoom evangelist who can’t do his/her job without our platform.


Own the overall relationship with your portfolio of clients and drive their success. This means:

  • Great on-boarding experiences
  • Driving usage on our platform and participation of your clients at events
  • Solving customer issues
  • Managing your clients renewals, upgrades
  • Optimising the activity of your portfolio on the platform to ensure that the overall objectives of all our customers are met during a transfer window
  • Responsible for the feedback loop from customers to our Product and Data teams
  • It will be your responsibility to ensure your customers don’t churn
  • In partnership with the Finance team you will be responsible for your customers experience with payments and billing
  • Through your portfolio network and relationships, you will provide lead generation to our sales team


  • 2-5 years years of Customer Success or Account management experience in a subscription or membership business or in sponsorship sales in a sports environment
  • Experienced with CRM tools (HubSpot a plus) and smart tech tools that can add value to the sales function and wider business
  • Hands on experience with online events and the various technologies that bring efficiency and scale to the experience
  • Highly organised and an excellent, confident communicator online, on the phone and in person
  • Good customer facing skills and full of energy to drive engagement on the platform
  • Curious, hungry to learn and to bring value to the team
  • Meticulous attention to detail along with an ability to work with high urgency;  you place clients first and do the things that need to be done
  • Able to promote and nurture relationships that may lead to upsell opportunities
  • Can act independently and with a good degree of autonomy
  • Have a positive mindset and ready to join a fast growing, fast paced team
  • Sports experience is not a prerequisite but an interest and ability to talk intelligently about football is a must
  • Excellent English and the ability to speak any other languages - especially Spanish and/or Portuguese - is a bonus 
  • Full Drivers license
  • Willing to travel at least 25% of the time ( as long as Covid allows)
