Job Description

BACKGROUND

TransferRoom launched in 2017 and is today a sustainable, fast growing B2B SaaS business, navigating the exciting challenges of the scale-up phase.

We empower football clubs, agents and players to be successful in the transfer market by giving them real-time market intelligence and direct access to a global network of decision makers.

We need a superstar and heavyweight sales leader who will lead our new business and renewals teams, (s)he will create, own and deliver the plan that will result in great outcomes from every commercial interaction with our current and potential customers and in so doing will play a critical part in our success

RESPONSIBILITIES

Bring great Sales Leadership resulting in energised motivated sales people exceeding revenue targets for Clubs, Agents, Leagues in both new business and renewals, meaning we will have:

  • Minimum 100% performance to sales KPIs for every sales person
  • Minimum 100% performance to renewal KPIs for every renewal person
  • Minimum 100% performance to upselling KPIs for every renewal person
  • High activity within the sales team; you know what every team member is delivering every week, you coach them, elevate their performance and make them efficient. You review team performance daily, weekly or however often they need it to get results.
  • Clear strategic and tactical messaging for all renewal customers, we will have clarity on what we are saying to who, how and when. You will lead the renewal team members in developing strategy and tactics for each stage of each negotiation
  • An always up to date good quality sales pipeline for which you feel responsible with accurate forecasting to present to the management team

Build the commercial team as we scale

  • Clear processes for how we execute the plan
  • Hiring needs for your team identified and clearly defined that are mapped to the strategy
  • Great new hires joining the team that you have recruited
  • People are on-boarded and integrated quickly 
     

Deliver great Strategic Storytelling for every sale to every customer

  • Great material for every type of conversation with every type of customer - Club, Agent, League, new sale and renewal material that is easy to produce and results in closed sales, renewals and upsells
  • A clear framework that the team follow for how we interact with leads


Create great collaboration between Renewal and Customer Success teams

  • A clear framework that the team follow for how we interact with renewal and upselling opportunities
  • Great collaboration and clear accountability regarding who is responsible for what on each account up for renewal
  • Great communication between teams
  • Great Customer Feedback on their interaction with us

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Proven track record in scaling up commercial operations in a high growth B2B SaaS business
    Sports experience and the ability to talk intelligently and with credibility about the football transfer market
  • You can sell; you have an enviable track record of sales growth and success in a similar capacity elsewhere. Your numbers will speak for themselves; an impressive, demonstrable record of over-achievement on targets
  • You are a leader with charisma and gravitas along with great management skills
  • You have a proven ability to multitask, move very quickly and get things done
  • You understand data and are metric driven - this is not a purely relationship role 
  • You have a meticulous attention to detail along with an ability to work with high urgency
  • You are a motivated and low ego professional with an entrepreneurial spirit who values teamwork, agility and a solution led approach
