We have an exciting opportunity for somebody with front end development experience to join our Product/UX team.
Within this role you will be responsible for maintaining and improving the Retail E-Commerce platform, working closely with other members of the team to run multi-variant tests, QA new features and report bugs.
You will also be working closely with the trading side of the e-commerce team to ensure that the products available on site are offered to our global fanbase in the most relevant and accessible way.
What will you be doing?
-Take a leading role in maintaining and improving the Retail E-Commerce platform and associated tools.
-Use your front end coding skills to develop and execute both simple and complex multi-variant tests.
-Use your analytical skills to measure and plan AB tests.
-Help raise and test tickets, spec out new features and epics.
-Support the Senior Manager, e-commerce Product in influencing the digital road map for all e-commerce digital products.
-Work within an Agile environment, translate the product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements including features, user stories, and acceptance test criteria, and keep this prioritised as the roadmap evolves.
-Work with internal SCRUM teams and other partners to ensure product feature enhancements are deployed on time and that bugs are raised appropriately.
-Work with both internal and external QA to ensure work carried out meets quality and functional requirements.
-Ensure the e-commerce platform offers a relevant, engaging, and modern retail experience
-Work within the e-commerce team to improve the display of products and ranges across the site
-Collect ideas from industry best-practice to influence the product roadmap
-Monitor user journeys to spot points of friction and opportunities for improvement
-Help problem-solve and troubleshoot bugs and store issues
-Use available reporting and analytics tools to report regularly on UX/MVT performance
-Increase the list of journeys we monitor to be able to report on UX performance
-Ensure Google Analytics is regularly annotated with all marketing activity
-Execute ad-hoc reports/analytics on request
-Carry out functional and end-to-end testing of new features
-Support internal teams to automate testing where possible
-Execute ad-hoc, pre- and post- deployment testing on request
-Use reporting and monitoring tools to inform new product developments
-Use of warehouse middleware systems for E-Commerce tasks
Who are we looking for?
The following experience would also be beneficial: previous software development or digital product experience, experience creating reports and displaying complex information, experience in a conversion optimisation role, use of tools such as Trello, Jira or Gitlab, use of multi-variant testing or personalisation platforms.
The successful candidate must have the ability to understand, document and present complex user journeys and must be a fast learner with a strong analytical mindset as well as creative and fresh ideas.

This is a full-time role working 35 hours per week, predominantly Monday to Friday. Whilst working outside of regular hours is not a regular occurrence, as part of your role you may be asked to support key dates in the trading calendar (kit launches, Black Friday, Christmas), with advance notice being provided.

Your role will be based between our Head Office in Liverpool City Centre and our Distribution Centre in Whiston. Due to the current pandemic, your role may initially be home based.
