JOB TITLE:  Coordinator, Live Production
DEPARTMENT:  Marketing (Match Presentation & Live Production)
REPORTING TO: Senior Manager, Match Presentation                 

New York City Football Club is seeking a Coordinator, Live Production to lead the planning and execution of events within NYCFC’s public-facing events calendar. The Coordinator reports to the Senior Manager, Match Presentation. The position will be responsible for all aspects of non-matchday event planning for the Club with a focus on engaging fans and driving awareness.

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to conceptualize and develop fan-centric experiences & events that build the NYCFC brand, expand reach to new fans and increase engagement with existing fan base. Key moments include; Season Kickoff/Homecoming, Summer Soccer initiatives, Year End/Fan Appreciation
  • Assist with a variety of live entertainment, hospitality, event activations inclusive of; sourcing and contracting vendors, building entertainment sources and drafting run of shows
  • Assist with the management of all elements of experiential and entertainment events; including concept development, floor plan oversight, internal coordination, vendor acquisition and management, event execution and reconciliation
  • Produce and serve as on-site lead for Fan Fests at specified home matches
  • Oversee & manage NYCFC’s off-site storage facility, develop inventory management system, and processes for equipment/signage requests
  • As part of the larger Match Presentation & Live Production team, the candidate will also play a support role during all NYCFC home matches
  • Budget preparation and management, vendor contracts and payments. Support team in building out staffing plans
  • Participate in brainstorms and contribute to the overall success of the Match Presentation & Live Production team
  • Build and maintain relationships with existing roster of vendors and talent
  • Develop event standards and best practices for all internal and external events – build toolkit for internal teams to leverage for non-Marketing team related events
  • Research industry-wide best practices and event trends
  • Supervise part-time event staff and intern(s)
  • 2-3 years event production/project management, experiential marketing, and brand activations – emphasis on sports and/or entertainment a plus
  • Experience with hospitality, vendor management, entertainment, and stage management
  • Awareness of industry best practices in production coordination aspects of live entertainment events

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
  • High-level knowledge of A/V and production technology  
  • Experience working with third-party experiential and production agencies
  • Strong attention to detail and process – strong project management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proven relationship and people management skills
  • Strong worth ethic, team-oriented, collaborative attitude, enthusiastic about contributing to the success of the Club
  • Organized and driven, able to self-motivate and innovate. Ability to solve problems under high pressure situations and tight deadlines. Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and work under tight deadlines 
  • Must be able to work non-traditional hours, nights and weekends, holidays as needed
  • Must have a fundamental knowledge of the global soccer landscape, Major League Soccer, and New York City Football Club
  • Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management or related field
