Job Description

The New York Red Bulls are one of 27 teams in Major League Soccer (MLS). RBNY, one of the ten charter clubs of MLS, have competed in the league since its founding in 1996. The Red Bulls play home matches at Red Bull Arena (RBA) in Harrison, New Jersey. The three-time MLS Supporters' Shield Winners are owned by the Austrian beverage company Red Bull for which the team is named. The New York Red Bulls offer one of the nation's premier youth soccer development programs, from local soccer partnerships across New York and New Jersey to Regional Development Schools and the Red Bulls Academy teams.



Purpose of this Job
We ask that you are a dynamic and creative sales professional with a successful selling track record (preferred) in collegiate, minor league or professional sports. You will represent one of the essential functions within the framework of the Red Bulls franchise structure, responsible for helping the franchise meet its financial goals while delivering the highest levels of customer service.

You have the following skills and can explain and demonstrate that you can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of abilities:
  • A working knowledge of Archtics and Microsoft Dynamics CRM is preferred.
  • You should possess an above average knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power point.
  • Handle multiple business relationships.
  • Be committed to the sports industry and the growth of the New York Red Bulls and Major League Soccer.
 
Your areas of expertise that matter most for this role:
The Group Experience Specialist is required to create effective revenue yielding relationships with various organizations and people within the private and public sectors.
  • Sales presentations will be made by telephone, email and face-to-face meetings.
  • Sales will be driven through prospecting activities including outbound telephone calls, emails, sales-related events and meetings, and other online/internet tools.
  • Develop relationships with each reassigned and new account to upgrade/renew and collect referrals, attend youth soccer club/league meetings, chamber of commerce meetings and networking events, and other events approved by the Director.
  • You will achieve personal and departmental sales quotas on a daily/weekly/monthly level.
  • You have a minimum of 2 years experience in a sales call center or in a customer service-based employment within the professional sports sales industry.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience selling professional sports tickets via telemarketing and face-to-face meetings.
  • Bachelor's degree and prior sales experience (preferably in sports) is required for all applicants.
 
You will report to the Director, Ticket Sales.



Due to the cyclical nature of the entertainment industry, the employee may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the company.
