The Richmond Kickers Pro Soccer Club, an independent USL League One team located in Richmond, VA, is actively seeking an experienced Director of Group Sales to accelerate growth amongst all group-related revenue streams as well as help curate a first-class matchday experience for all fans in attendance. This role will be an integral part of the club’s management team and will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer.
Develop and implement a detailed sales strategy to maximize revenue in all group-related revenue streams, including group outings, fundraising, hospitality, and non-game day events.
Lead, manage, train, and inspire a small team of sales executives to exceed weekly and monthly revenue and sales activity goals
Foster relationships with existing clients and persistently prospect new business through cold-calling, face to face meetings, email marketing, networking events and community appearances
Provide exemplary customer service throughout the entire sales process and to all fans each matchday at City Stadium.
Continually create and implement new ideas and programs that will produce exciting new opportunities for Richmond businesses, organizations, and community partners
Manage all group activities and hospitality areas along with part-time staff relating to those areas each matchday
Manage sales activity and revenue through Zoho CRM and ProVenue (Tickets.com). Produce weekly and monthly reports to track progress towards revenue goals

Other duties as assigned by the Chief Operating Officer
5+ years of sales and management experience with a proven record of performance that consistently meets or exceeds sales goals and strategic objectives.
High proficiency in relationship building, relationship management and networking skills.
Evidence of being a strategic, creative thinker with the ability to develop and implement processes and plans.
An excellent communicator with outstanding work ethic and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Google applications and CRM systems. Experience with Zoho applications is a plus.
Experience managing a ticket operations platform. Experience with ProVenue, Tickets.com and Fevo is a plus.
Prior sports and entertainment industry experience is a plus, but not required
Ability to work flexible hours, including but not limited to evenings, weekends and holidays.
Bachelor’s Degree required
