JOB TITLE: Broadcast Technology Manager  
REPORTING TO: Operations and Technology Lead
JOB FUNCTION: The Broadcast Engineer is responsible for the overall day‐to‐day management of broadcast operations. They will be involved in all live productions, events, post‐production, and pre-recorded productions for their channels output utilizing all the resources.

CONTRACT: Permanent
•       Supervise and support an efficient technical setup on matchdays and other live broadcasts.
•       Enforce smooth day‐to‐day operations with an end-to-end workflow, identifying any issues and finding solutions.
•       Assist in the development of plans for operational activities.
•       Single point of contact for all Operations activities, attends weekly production meetings within Chelsea Creative Studios.
•       Oversee all connected workflows within the channel that fulfil the productional needs according to Chelsea Studio standards.
•       Plan the efficient use of resources to optimise output of Chelsea Studios.
•       Communicate with senior stakeholders to share planning and organisational decisions.
•       Rig and derig technical equipment in a safe manner as directed to support production requirements, including cameras, lighting, sound and a range of other technical equipment.
•       Assist freelance ‘craft’ specialist in the production of ‘live’ and pre­‐recorded studio content as required. This may include cameras, lighting, sound and a range of other technical equipment.
•       Comply with all Health and Safety policies and promote a positive safety culture in all areas at Chelsea Studios.
•       Build and maintain effective working relationships with production teams, craft specialists and other CTV staff.
•       Manage consistently well-run, fully functional production operations.
•       Suggestion of ways to evolve and improve broadcast and technology output.
•       Identifying and resolving any technical issues or complications within the department.
•       Application of a well-organised and structured workflow to the operational areas of the role.
•       Professional approach to stakeholder management and communication.
•       A good communicator who can remain calm under pressure, managing simultaneous work streams.
Qualifications / Experience:
•       Bachelor Degree in Media or TV Production related field.
•       Minimum of 7 years’ experience working in television; with minimum of 3 years’ experience in a sports broadcast field.
•       Experience of multi camera broadcast production.
•       Excellent knowledge of live production systems and post-production workflow requirements.
•       Good knowledge of tapeless production workflows, broadcast equipment and systems including, cameras, sound, vision, lighting, graphics, post-production, media management, MCR and Playout. 
•       Strong understanding of new technologies and how to develop a broadcast operation.
•       Organised, detailed and professional approach to all areas of business.
•       Experience of live production streaming on Grabyo beneficial.
