Job Description

Role Description

The successful candidate will be part of a professional Saints Southwest team, working with over 8,000 children per week across the South West. The right person will also have the chance to progress and expand their role within the Saints Southwest setup and have the opportunity to receive mentoring and guidance from our team.


Overall outline of role

● To ensure all Southwest school services are sustained

● Actively develop and generate new business and leads within the Primary and Secondary Education sector

● Quality assure all delivery and services

● Organise and coordinate Holiday Soccer School programmes

● Work with other senior staff members to ensure roles and responsibilities are fulfilled

● Manager

● Development Officer

● Head Coach


You must be flexible and adaptable with high levels of self-motivation and an enthusiasm to work with children and develop. The successful candidate will be required to have good knowledge of the game whilst also being self-motivated to remain up-to-date and keep abreast of current and future ways of practice.


Outline of possible areas of delivery:

● Mini Soccer Saints (4-6yrs)

● Saints Soccer Centre (7-11 yrs)

● Invite Only Development Training Centres (u6’s - u12’s)

● Regional Squads (u10-u16s) coaching/managing a team in the Junior Premier League

● Delivering Primary Schools curriculum Physical Education

● Lunchtime and After School Clubs

Outline of key areas of delivery:

● To lead and manage a team of staff

● To liaise with other senior staff members consistently

● Actively support and attend senior staff meetings

● To enhance and influence the development of coaching staff & players

● Organise intra primary tournaments and festivals

● To organise and deliver various sessions to the highest standards

● To deliver taster days/sessions

● To exceed targets that are in place

● To actively promote/market events and programmes

● Actively ensure all staff are promoting weekly sessions within the school and holiday programmes

● Actively promote and support the talent ID system

● Ensure admin is carried out to Saints Southwest requirements

● Ensuring deadlines and targets are met

● To organise and deliver various sessions to the highest standards

● To promote the programme through school visits

● Ensure that players are working with the Soccer Schools philosophy and sessions are Saints Southwest related

● To aid in the planning and delivery of sessions which accommodate a variety of children on many different programmes

● To record and evaluate the programme by providing data and evidence

● Encourage relationships with internal and external partners
