Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC have been Pittsburgh's premier professional soccer team since its inception in 1999, and play in the United Soccer League, one of the largest and fastest growing professional soccer organizations in North America. The Riverhounds and Highmark Stadium are seeking a Director of Ticket Sales. This role is responsible for generating revenue through the sale of season ticket packages, group tickets and premium hospitality. This position will be part of our leadership team that reports directly to the team President.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Duties include but are not limited to prospecting, telephone sales, networking, presentations, public speaking, creative selling, inventory management, entertaining, promotional activities, and game operations. 
  • Create a collaborative team environment for personal accountability. 
  • Continuously evaluate business processes to create efficiencies in the sales, delivery and customer service disciplines. 
  • Assist sales staff in their effort to generate new sales in all ticket product lines. This may include attending meetings, visiting prospects at events, and calling potential clients. 
  • Utilize and oversee the CRM platform. 
  • Manage accounts and secure renewals or upgrades of existing clients to maximize potential revenue. 
  • Actively remain aware of trends and developments within our league and industry. To  provide ideas and insights to improve our ticket sales portfolio. 
  • Liaison with third party sales team.
  • Identify, recruit, hire and train current and new members of our sales/service team to build a dynamic sales environment that will accomplish the sales goals of the organization. 
  • Regularly measure the effectiveness of the organization's various sales campaigns and offerings and provide recommendations for further improvement when necessary.  
  • Work to identify new key community relationships or partnerships that will assist in developing new opportunities. 
  • Represent the organization in the community at various events and programming. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree  
  • Experience in a ticket sales role with minimum 2-3 years preferred. 
  • Experience in a ticket sales leadership role preferred.
  • Proven ability to develop and train sales staff. 
  • Excellent communication, organizational and presentation skills.
  • Be comfortable multi-tasking and problem solving fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain an effective working relationship with coworkers, fans, vendors, and partners.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Programs
  • Self-Starter who can work independently
  • The flexibility to and willingness to work nights and weekends
  • Positive attitude and a strong work ethic are essential
  • High level relationships skills to handle sensitive and confidential information
