Intern Administration Entry Level Sales Ticketing

Job Description

Indy Eleven internships are available for course credit only.  Interns are provided a paid monthly parking stipend but are otherwise unpaid.  Positions are less than 30 hours per week but will depend on the number of hours needed to complete course credit.  Work schedules will be set at the beginning of the internship.

Ticket Sales and Ticket Administration Internship
This internship offers some hands-on training and development that an entry-level sales representative in the Sports industry would receive for general knowledge and understanding and will help implement and produce collateral notes.  You will have the opportunity to demonstrate the training through limited outbound sales efforts for some experience in the field.  Our program is designed to provide you with the foundation you will need to succeed in a sales department post-graduation while giving you a first-hand look at the business-side of sports and entertainment and the administrative tasks and duties that are provided for the department’s success.

Primary responsibilities for this position will include, but are not limited to: 
  • Learn and develop the knowledge and understanding of the sales process through training and implementation 
    • Skills you will learn include but are not limited to: 
      • The sales process 
      • Group Ticket Sales understanding and assist in lead research 
      • Revenue Based ideas for the dept. 
      • Archtics and Salesforce training 
      • Assist in putting together dept. calendar, ideas and presentations 
  • Develop the skills to help uncover sales leads and help managing the relationship with a Sales Associate to ensure long-term renewal 
  • Prospecting and generating new leads to target for Ticket Sales efforts 
  • Learning how to create professional sales proposals for potential prospects  
  • Develop and manage relationships within but not limited to the following communities to help drive sales efforts: youth sports, non-profit organizations, religious organizations, the business community, and performance organizations
  • Assist in the development of ticket sales initiatives 
  • Manage or assist with fulfillment of game day/event duties such as but not limited to: Group Sales Fan Experiences, Ticket Sales table, offsite events  
  • Execute Ticket Sales related administrative tasks at a high level 
  • Assist in Indy Eleven front office activities such as but not limited to: managing the inbound phone line, operating the front desk duties, assisting with other departments when requested, etc. 
  • Other duties as assigned  
Qualifications for the position include: 
  • Interest in tickets sales and a passion for soccer preferred
  • Some experience in sports preferred
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with independent thinking
  • Goal oriented 
  • Microsoft proficiencies including Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel 
  • Some Knowledge of Central Indiana  
  • Able to work with management and a diverse team of people
