Job Description

Barnes Football Club was founded in 1862 and is the 6th oldest club in England. New management committee is now re-establishing the club and intends to involve local passionate football fans and enthusiasts to support their initiative. Our mission is to develop and promote community participation in healthy recreation by providing affordable activities that improve health and social welfare and to provide more social inclusive community that will engage all members regardless of ability or disability, race, religion, gender, age or sexual orientation.

What are requirements for the role?

  • Preferred SW13 based or surrounding areas (Richmond, Wandsworth, Hammersmith & Fulham boroughs)
  • Experience of working/volunteering in grassroots football within an administrative capacity (not mandatory but desired)
  • An eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Proven experience of working effectively in a team environment.
  • Good communication skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Remote and flexible working

What are the  main responsibilities?

  • Collaborate with the  Welfare and Safeguarding Officer to ensure the compliance processes are managed effectively and safeguarding requirements are met by the club
  • Proactively keep records of required training and support to employees to ensure an efficient process.
  • To provide administration support for the club disciplinary process
  • Collaborate with the club secretary and County FA in respect of compliance matters
  • Contribute to ensuring that safeguarding and equality are embedded throughout the club
  • Ensure that club meets the insurance, training and other administrative complianc

The role is on a voluntary basis with average 7 hours per week,  however we offer a range of benefits from our sponsors and great access to the sport network.
