Job Description

Description:
The Account Executive’s responsibilities include the sales of Season Tickets, Groups, Hospitality and Individual Game tickets.  The Account Executive will sell and service new and existing accounts, generate new ideas to increase ticket sales, and execute basic office tasks as needed. This position is responsible for making outbound phone calls, going on face-to-face meetings with prospects at the stadium and in scheduled off-site meetings, and working events. The individual in this position will be expected not only to be an exceptional sales person, but also to deliver world-class customer service to all clients and prospects to ensure fan retention. This position will report directly to the Director of Ticket Sales, Service & Member.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Sell a full menu of ticket products, including Season Tickets, Group tickets and Hospitality packages. 
  • The Account Executive will be accountable for a certain level of outbound activities daily including; cold calls, e-mails, social media, etc. 
  • Develop and consistently grow a database comprised of businesses and individual prospects through various professional networking efforts throughout the community.
  • Effectively follow up with clients and prospective clients in order to build relationships to help provide repeat business and build your sales pipeline. 
  • Work closely with sales and marketing departments to develop compelling sales programs and components focused on long-term business sustainability.
  • Service clients and prospects at all home games and other events as needed to purpose maximize sales opportunities.
  • Reports to the Director of Ticket Sales, Service & Membership.
  • Meet a minimum number of weekly out of the office and/or in-arena meetings
  • Ability to work multiple tasks and create new group theme nights each season.
  • Meet and exceed all weekly, monthly and yearly sales goals for the San Diego Loyal.
  • Follow and meet the core values of the company and represent the organization in a positive manner. 
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in ticket sales and service.
  • AXS/Back Office experience preferred, but not required.
  • Natural aggressive approach and positive attitude to maximize incremental sales opportunities.
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic, high attention to detail and organization, and strong time management skills, with the ability to develop creative ways to increase revenues.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed, in addition to traditional business hours.
  • Someone who leads by example in the office.
  • Detail oriented and passionate about sports and sales.
  • Bi-lingual preferred, but not required.
 
Physical Abilities:
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs up to 50 lbs. 
  • Ability to stand for up to 5+ hours during a game. 
  • Ability to work long hours, weekends & holidays.
  • Ability to work in adverse weather conditions, including but not limited to rain and heat.
