TITLE: Social Media Intern
DEPARTMENT: Communications REPORTS TO: Director of Digital Media
Interns will have the opportunity to learn about the history, culture, and vision of Orlando City SC, understanding the importance of how a professional sports organization works (which could include sales, marketing, public relations, operations, or the internal working of the Club), to further develop general critical thinking, problem solving, time management, communication, and writing skills.
WHAT SETS YOU APART
We are looking for a creative, driven, digitally savvy, detailed-oriented, and self-motivated social media intern to assist in running multiple accounts including Orlando City, Orlando Pride and Exploria Stadium. This person will work alongside the Social Media Team and will have the opportunity to learn how to run social media accounts on a professional level. Concluding this internship this person will know how to create and write interesting content for fans, cover live events in real-time, and track campaigns through analytics.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work alongside the team to create a plan for social media strategies.
Use photos and web content to create and schedule daily posts.
Learn to assists in real-time coverage during gamedays.
Learn to track, monitor, and engage with fan feedback.
Learn to create and track social media campaigns.
Track emerging social media trends and platforms like TikTok.
Other duties as assigned.

Applicants should be working towards an undergraduate or graduate degree with an emphasis in journalism, communications, or related field.
Interested in pursuing a career in social media.
Experience with basic photo editing.
Some experience with Adobe Suite (Primarily Photoshop and Premiere Pro).
Strong written and verbal skills.
Exceptional reliability, interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills required.
An Innovative Individual who can come up with ideas and work extremely well within a team to come up with creative solutions and identify new opportunities, often in a high-pressure, fast-changing environment.
Strong attention to small details is a must.
Able to work non-traditional hours, in non-traditional settings, within a team atmosphere.
Strong knowledge of a wide variety of social media platforms.
Strong interest in soccer and sports is a plus.
A sense of humor is a must (prepare to tell us about a good joke in your interview).
Internship will be around 10 hours weekly.
Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Orlando City SC joined Major League Soccer (MLS) as the league's 21st franchise in November 2013, becoming the first MLS team in the Southeast.
