Job title: Marketing Executive – Owned Channel Marketing & Ad Operations
Department: Marketing

Reporting to:     Marketing Lead – Media & CRM
Job function: Work with multiple stakeholders to execute campaigns across owned media channels and to drive maximum efficiency and optimization of ad operations across our web & app platforms.

Main responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure smart planning, scheduling and execution of marketing campaigns across owned digital and non-digital platforms
  • Allocate available inventory for advertising club & partner campaigns across CFC web & app platforms
  • Analyse performance of ad campaigns through regular data driven insight & reporting and recommend how to improve performance
  • Optimise all available placements and ad units to ensure continual evolution of our ad operations capabilities
  • Recommend opportunities to evolve our ad operations proposition and improve sophistication through new technology and innovation
  • Develop and enhance targeting capabilities to drive effective campaign performance
  • Oversee the optimisation of owned campaigns to improve performance in line with set KPIs
  • Regularly review and monitor engagement metrics, i.e click rates, session time, unique visitors, repeat visitors and conversion metrics:
  • Manage an ongoing ‘test and learn’ optimisation programme to maximise performance
  • Understand key sources of traffic working alongside data analytics team
  • Work closely with multiple stakeholders across the business to ensure owned media campaigns are planned and aligned with content and product strategy
  • Ensure up to date knowledge of industry trends, competitor activity and latest innovations and demonstrate how these can be incorporated into the Chelsea owned digital strategy.
  • Work closely and consult with key stakeholders and creative teams on advertising assets within the CFC digital ecosystem (specifically CFC website)
•       Work closely with key stakeholders on web advertising asset management & execution.  Schedule, allocate and monitor assets across key owned channels
•       Work hand in hand with the product teams and assume an advisory role in the development of owned media campaign strategies to ensure executional requirements can be met.
  • Support on paid media execution, specifically paid social activity for club and partners by setting up, optimising and reporting on campaign performance
  • Manage media spend and budget effectively with media agency.  Manage budgets, POs and lead day to day communication with agency
  • Support Performance Media Mgr on management of paid media agency, scheduling meetings as well as budget management of media spend
•       Being on top of the campaign performance, analysing and optimizing the campaigns on a regular basis, providing recommendations and adjustments

•       Ad impressions
•       Page view to ad impression ratio %
•       Web & App media value
•       CTR, conversion of campaigns
•       Timely scheduling and clearly defined process of all owned channel activity
Person Specification:
  • Proven digital marketing experience
  • Data driven, tech savvy, analytical skill set essential
  • Proven knowledge and experience of digital marketing, ad operations and managing ad inventory
  • Understanding of Ad inventory management platforms
  • Strong organisational, planning and project mgmt. skills
  • Strong analytical, insight development and reporting skills
  • Good time management skills with the ability to plan, organise and prioritise tasks under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Experience of working with apps, as well as in language platforms an advantage
  • Knowledge of paid social media strategy and execution desirable
  • Ability to articulate and influence key strategic marketing decisions.  Ability to collaborate with key stakeholders
  • Knowledge of digital analytics an advantage
  • Proactive team player able to work individually and as part of a team and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Offline media planning experience also desirable, i.e. Print, OOH
