Commercial Content Planning Manager FTC - 12 months


The Commercial Content Planning  Manager will be  responsible for the development and execution of all digital content for partners across club MU Social and O&O channels. The role will be key in delivering premium content that delivers against partner objectives, creates connections with our fans and innovates in digital and virtual spaces. It will also ensure all campaigns are deployed effectively to provide consistent flow of data based on predetermined KPI’s. 

This role will be central to how the partnerships team collaborates with other internal teams across creative development, media, relationship managers and player management. This role is also responsible for day-to-day approvals of commercial and partner content for the club’s media channels. The successful individual will also be responsible for production methods, setups, scheduling and creative before it goes live.

The Role:
  • To support partnership planning in the creation of content briefs, including insight into past performance, formats, and best practice.
  • To understand evolving media platforms to help inform the planning process.
  • Approval responsibilities for Media POV into content briefs.
  • Opportunity to advance Club Media integration for Partners.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day digital asset delivery - managing workflow, from brief to deployment.
  • Responsible for aligning workflow with our partner prioritisation requirements.
  • Manage the Commercial Scheduling Calendar (overseeing Planners) to sync with Club content publishing.
  • Represent partnerships in weekly media team stand ups.
  •  Constantly connected with the Media and B&CM teams for cross-team collaboration.
  • Drive on-time delivery and exceed partner expectations.
  • Manage content capture, including Men’s and Women’s team Pas.
  • Manage production requirements for capture, including Media team resource.
  • Liaise and support with branded content captured by external agencies, ensuring highest standards and in line with partner expectations.
  • Gathering and editing match footage for quick turnaround branded content, such as Remington Match Moments.
  • Approval responsibilities for Media POV into final assets and suitability for Club channels.
  • Manage all content execution and activation.
  • Responsible for scheduling and planning, in collaboration with other content departmental leads, and our analytics team.
  • Responsible for approvals and dialogue with cross-functional teams.
  • Set benchmarks and drive high standards across all digital asset execution.
  • Provide a strong opinion on defining metrics and KPIs in the planning process.
The Person:
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • 6 Years’ experience in media / online with a preference for sports industry experience.
  • Have proven experience working on branded content campaigns and executions.
  • Will be highly customer and data focused, with demonstrable analytical acumen.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate externally with partners, sponsors, and other stakeholders.
  • A proactive nature, a problem solver, and a team player.
