Unite the Game and Inspire the Nation through winning England Teams. The Football Association (The FA) is the governing body of football in England. We are responsible for promoting and developing the game at all levels; from grassroots through to the professional game, The Emirates FA Cup and the England international teams. We have two core assets: Wembley Stadium and St. George's Park.
To deliver against our goal we have reallocated resources and invested heavily in developing a team of exceptional people capable of creating winning England teams at our world-class training facilities at St. George's Park in Staffordshire. This is a unique and exciting time to join The FA and the Technical Team will be integral to the organisation achieving its goals.
A new, exciting opportunity has opened to join our FA medical team in providing support to our England Football Teams. We are looking to recruit a team doctor to our England Men's U21 Team with a start date as soon as possible covering International Camps from November.
The on-going commitment ranges from approximately 65-80 days per season covering the Men's U21 team but with additional flexibility around supporting other England Teams if required.
The successful candidate will become a critical member of a multidisciplinary support team working closely with coaches, physical performance coaches and physiotherapists on-camp and between camps to deliver an exceptional Sport and Exercise Medicine. In addition, there is a requirement to support a close working relationship in support of the Men's Senior Team and associated multidisciplinary support team.
To maximise the prospects of success and to prepare players for potential Senior call-up, the FA have developed ways of working that give consistency of practice throughout the Development pathway. This includes ongoing development of a curriculum to ensure our doctors can deliver to a consistently high standard within that framework. In addition to the team role, there is an expectation that the successful individual will contribute to the delivery and development of this curriculum.
In addition, candidates would ideally possess the following:
You will also demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills and an ability to work closely with internal and external stakeholders. You will display behaviours to maintain and enhance good relationships which will help develop The FA's positive professional profile across the business and wider industry.
If you believe you have what it takes to make a difference to England Team success, please get in touch and apply using the link above.
The Football Association Group promotes inclusion and diversity, and welcomes applications from everyone. If you have any particular requirements in respect of the recruitment or interview process please mention this in your application.
