Kevin Phillips' converted spot-kick in the 2013 Championship Play-Off ensured Crystal Palace's top-flight fortunes to present day. The Eagles have enjoyed life in the Premier League for a sustained period now under Roy Hodgson's stewardship, and it's safe to say the ship has steadied into a reputable Premier League outfit.
Just like their London based counterparts in Tottenham and Arsenal to name only two, careers at Crystal Palace FC provides the opportunity to work in a fast-paced elite environment located in the heart of the capital. Situated in Selhurst, South London, the club offers potential employees an attractive setting to call a workplace.
A career at Crystal Palace FC may evolve into working at the club's training facilities in Bromley, Kent. Early in 2020, Bromley Council gave the green light for planning permission to upgrade the training ground to a Category 1 academy status and join a leading group of football clubs in England with similar. Nearly 40 players have progressed through the academy since the turn of the millennium, making more than 1,000 appearances between them, stressing its importance to the club.
There are currently 100 part-time and 35 full-time employees at the academy with plans to increase that headcount. The club have announced they will recruit another 20 scouts to accompany the upgrade in facilities. We would also expect multiple vacancies opening at the football club following such change to match the increased workload. Crystal Palace's future is improving season on season. By undertaking a career at Crystal Palace, you can tag along for the ride.
For an idea of the rate of pay at Selhurst Park, a matchday retail catering operator/bartender position is advertised at £10.75/hr, rising to £13/hr for the matchday chefs. Crystal Palace FC is a London living wage employer, offering competitive salaries throughout the organisation. The Eagles join Chelsea, Everton, West Ham and Liverpool as accredited living wage employers.
