During their time, the Roughnecks played before average crowds of 20,000 and won the NASL National Championship in 1983. Throughout the years, they have undergone many changes and now, under new Club Ownership, a dogged determination and invigorated spirit has emerged to help sell-out ONEOK field and bring a USL Championship Cup title home to Tulsa. The new Ownership group is making investments in front office talent and player acquisition a top priority. FC Tulsa is seeking a dynamic graphic designer and brand coordinator. This individual will assist marketing, digital media, communications, consumer products, sponsorship and ticketing through the design of bold and functional visuals elements across different mediums to build, grow and maintain an emerging brand. The successful candidate will have a creative yet conscientious perspective on design and push the boundaries of traditional sports graphics. The Graphic Designer must exhibit strong communication skills, project management, adhere to tight deadlines, exceptional attention to detail, and passion for sport.
Execute graphic design projects; including, but not limited to, sales collateral, advertising campaigns, digital graphics (website, social media, video elements), stadium graphics, digital ads, consumer product design, and presentation decks.
Assist in managing partnerships with timely and first-rate external collateral to maintain partner relationship and exhibit strong values in the process of doing so.
Tracking, organizing, and archiving of all inventory and assets.
Prepare appropriate files for printers and vendors.
Assist with planning and execution of video shoots.
Creation of functional templated designs to help departments with turn-key collateral; including, but not limited to, gameday social media posts, business templates, website graphics, and ad rotations.
Assist with game day duties such as live content and digital messaging.
Take the lead on visual architecture and concepts for marketing campaigns and brand initiatives.
Anticipate Club needs for graphics, especially during the season.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Art, Animation, or related field;
2-4 years’ experience working in a design-related field;
Experience working for clients and delivering finished product to desired specifications;
Fluent knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign in a Mac environment;
Basic digital animation and/or photography experience is a plus.
Exceptional conceptual and creative skills with attention to detail including strong proofreading skills;
Excellent project management skills including the ability to multi-task and balance multiple projects with moving timelines;
Creative ability to generate engaging, innovative visual communications pieces growing from brand parameters;
Ability to work both independently and as a team member;
Confidence in work and thriving in a collaborative atmosphere, especially in visual strategy meetings and supporting teammates;
Must have the ability to identify issues and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Ambitious self-starter with interest in learning more skills and trades;
Knowledge and interest in professional soccer and/or sports; and
Ability to work on holidays, weekends and nights in addition to normal business hours when necessary.
