The Cognitive Behavioural Therapist will work across varying Foundation departments such as Health and Wellbeing, Interventions and Disability supporting young people to older adults to make positive lifestyle decisions.
The role is an exciting and unique opportunity to provide clinical support to participants across Aston Villa Foundation projects and programmes working with targeted audiences in areas most familiar, utilising sport and physical activity as point of engagement across the city of Birmingham.
The post holder will be accountable for undertaking patient-centered interviews identifying areas where they wish to see change, assessing the risk participants pose to themselves and others whilst making decisions on the suitability of new referrals, referring clients to alternative services or 'stepping up' their treatment to high-intensity psychological therapy if and where required.
The successful candidate will have hold relevant qualifications such as Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner and have relevant experience within IAPT services.
