The Director of Partnership Marketing is part of the Corporate Partnerships Department for Minnesota United Football Club (MNUFC), a sports business located in the Twins Cities area of Minnesota and a member of Major League Soccer (MLS), the top tier soccer league in North America.
Minnesota United is seeking an experienced, self-motivated and innovative Director of Partnership Marketing to take on a leadership role within our Corporate Partnerships team. We are looking for a candidate with a strong work ethic, who is diligent with details and has outstanding communication skills to facilitate the execution of partnerships, create high-end events and unique experiences, and oversee key operational aspects of the Partnerships department. The ideal candidate is a team player with a positive attitude and has the ability to handle multiple assignments in a high pressure, fast-paced environment. The Director of Partnership Marketing position will report directly to the Vice Partnership of Partnership Marketing.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary liaison between several key corporate partners and Minnesota United to facilitate execution of partnership agreements
Oversee all operational aspects of the Partnership Marketing group including but not limited to inventory management, partnership contracts, CRM, sales presentations, partnership recaps, reporting, and business intelligence
Work closely with the Vice President of Corporate Sales and Vice President of Partnership Marketing to develop and implement the strategy for new sales and renewals
Coordinate all aspects of Corporate Partner Hospitality including road trips, events, tickets, premium seating, hosting and gifting
Act as the Club Guidelines Expert for all current and future MLS commercial guideline related materials
Manage the relationship between Minnesota United and the National Sports Center as it relates to integration of club partners into the Target USA Cup and team training facility
Assist in the design and implementation of a strategy to monetize and activate partnerships around the club’s youth soccer initiatives
Work Minnesota United home games and select additional events
Other projects as assigned by the Vice President of Partnership Marketing.
Six (6) to ten (10) years of relevant experience
Bachelor’s degree in related field or a combination of related education and work experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM
Experience working with partnership contracts
Knowledge of KORE and Digideck, preferred
Knowledge of Major League Soccer, preferred
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Ability to handle multiple priorities and simultaneous projects
