We are seeking a highly specialised physiotherapist to manage the provision of medical services for Fulham Football Club Academy. The successful candidate will have a strong ability to demonstrate clinical leadership and management. They will have extensive experience in the musculoskeletal discipline and a specialist skillset in sports medicine, including experience with adolescents and paediatrics. They will have extensive experience working within elite sport and demonstrate holding senior positions within a professional academy setting. You will have extensive injury assessment, screening, diagnostic, manual therapy, and rehabilitation understanding along with extensive knowledge in injury prevention methods and recovery strategies.
The successful candidate will be committed to the development and implementation of the academy’s performance plan. They will have a strong interest in strategic management and development within the academy sports medicine department with previous evidence of leadership roles. They will be able to manage and lead a team of staff to deliver the highest level of medical care to all players within the academy.
The candidate will be a confident communicator and be comfortable holding a demanding and trusting position within the football club. You will be exceptionally organised, dedicated and show the skills to manage a large group of staff and players, whilst able to deal with high pressure and challenging situations. You will be able to communicate across the wider academy and ensure you develop strong relationships with staff across the multi-disciplinary team. You will have the ability to drive self -progression and learning in yourself and members of your team. You will work to drive the levels of competence within the department providing a demanding, challenging, and high-performance setting for the staff and the wider department to enhance the level of service provided.
Candidates will hold a BSc in Physiotherapy as well as an MSc / PHD in a relevant field of practice. They will be HCPC registered and be a member of the CSP. They will hold a current ATMMIF certification and be able to evidence extensive experience of pitch side trauma. They will have a thorough understanding of Academy EPPP guidelines and be aware of what it takes to succeed as a category 1 academy.

You should also be prepared for irregular and unsociable working schedules at times, including evenings and weekends.
