Indy Eleven is seeking a motivated, experienced ticket sales manager to assist in leading the department in revenue generation through various means of sales as the Manager, Ticket Sales.  There is a consistent focus on training, development, and one-on-one coaching.  This position will help build the foundation needed for a long and successful career in the revenue-generating side of the sports business.
 
Indy Eleven is led by well-respected executive, Greg Stremlaw.  The front office and team strives to be best-in-class and the preeminent United Soccer League Championship franchise.  As a part of Indy Sports & Entertainment, Indy Eleven is owned by Ersal Ozdemir.  The Eleven are the only USL Championship team and the highest level of professional soccer in the state of Indiana.  

 JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Manager, Ticket Sales is responsible for generating revenue through Season Ticket Memberships, Partial Plans, Group Tickets, Flex Plans and Premium Hospitality, specifically within the business-to-business community. The candidate should be a self-motivated and positive professional with experience in planning and executing prospecting events, as well as sales generation. The Manager, Ticket Sales will work under the guidance of the Senior Director, Ticket Sales. Salary commensurate to experience, with commission. Medical, dental and vision benefits available.


Responsibilities:
  • Generating ticket and hospitality sales through cold calling, networking, and face-to-face appointments in the local and regional corporate community
  • Sell ticketing inventory, including but not limited to: Season Ticket Memberships, Half Season Tickets, Partial Plans, Flex Plans and Premium Hospitality
  • Contacting existing qualified leads as well as generating new sales leads
  • Managing existing corporate sales accounts
  • Develop and maintain good-working relationships with both internal and external clients
  • Meet and exceed established monthly and annual sales objectives and revenue goals
  • Make 60+ outbound sales calls on a daily basis
  • Set and conduct 10+ face-to-face/virtual meetings per week with prospective clients
  • Identify business opportunities by establishing professional and personal networks, proactively soliciting and following-up on any sales leads and representing Indy Eleven at assigned functions
  • Improve year-over-year corporate fan satisfaction, retention rates, and associated revenue and profitability goals with defined account base
  • Build strong relationships with defined corporate account base through proactive communication, including seat visits, phone calls, emails, and other communication initiativesProspect and cultivate new sales leads through creative lead generation methods, as well as follow up on leads provided by leadership, with an emphasis at targeting of market Fortune 500 and Fortune 1,000 companies in the greater Indianapolis area
  • Anticipate, respond to, and resolve all complaints, requests, and inquiries from defined account base and general fan base; handle difficult fans and situations in a calm and professional matter, ensuring that each fan interaction results in increased loyalty to the team
  • Ensure customer data and profile requirements are accurately and completely detailed for defined accounts in CRM system
  • Work closely with Ticket Sales, Box Office, Marketing, Operations, Arena Staff, Game Presentation, PR, and Sponsorship to execute integrated programs
  • Work assigned sales, promotional and team events during games and outside normal business hours
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Minimum Qualifications           
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a top sales producer, preferably in Sports & Entertainment
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Team player with the ability to handle multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a friendly and professional telephone manner
  • High comfort level making cold calls and conducting face-to-face appointments
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and to self-motivate
  • Flexible and creative problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel, CRM related software and ticketing applications preferred
  • Knowledge and passion for sales
  • Enthusiastic and outgoing personality
  • Preferably possesses a database of qualified group prospects
  • Flexibility in working extended hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Previous working experience with Microsoft CRM is a plus
