Position Purpose
The USL’s Onboarding team is an in-house support division within the league office focused on guiding and assisting the buildout and implementation of professional club ticket sales and service strategies for the launch of new clubs entering the USL system. This position will help build and drive team performance while working with the clubs’ executive team, revenue drivers and business staff from inception. The position will also support the club services department’s overall mission of providing unparalleled service to the USL professional club constituency.
 
 
Duties and Responsibilities
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
 
  • Guide the development and implementation of club-driven ticket sales and service strategies targeted to maximize club revenue to include:
Season ticket sales
Group ticket sales
Individual ticket sales
Social selling
Customer retention
Sales techniques and training
  • Conduct on-site and remote training and best practice sharing.
  • Consult with clubs to establish creative and innovative guidance, recommendations, and industry best practices across key business components.
  • Oversee integration of ticket sales and strategies into multiple verticals within each club to maximize reach, impact, conversion, and revenue.
  • Analyze data to establish key performance metrics.
  • Identify new opportunities for revenue generation within each club’s asset.
  • Collaborate with internal USL stakeholders for data collection, analysis, best practice sharing.
  • Maintain regularly scheduled communication with the portfolio of clients using multiple platforms.
  • Maintain an understanding of market trends including emerging technology platforms to increase performance.
  • Other duties/responsibilities as assigned.
 
Qualifications
  • 4-year degree in sport management, business or related field preferred.   
  • Minimum five (5) years of related ticket sales experience.  
  • Minimum of three (3) years of senior ticket management experience preferred.
  • Proven successful sales experience in ticket sales (in sports environment preferred).
  • Consistent track record of success in establishing, selling, and managing a ticketing department.
  • Experience working with priority, secondary and third-party ticketing companies, and platforms.
  • CRM platform integration experience. 
  • Advanced experience presenting and conducting in-person and virtual meetings.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with team members, executives, member clubs, and external partners.
  • Ability to work independently in a multi-faceted, fast, fluid, and deadline-driven environment.
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic. 
  • Ability to work as business needs require which may include long days, evenings, weekends, occasional holidays, and travel if / when necessary.  
  • Must have U.S. work authorization.
