The USL’s Onboarding team is an in-house support division within the league office focused on guiding and assisting the buildout of professional club strategies and sales/marketing approaches for the launch of new clubs entering the USL system. This position will work with stakeholders on the strategic planning, organizational structure while providing additional support expertise. This position will also support the club services and marketing department’s overall mission of providing unparalleled service to the USL professional club constituency.
Duties and Responsibilities
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
Consult with clubs to establish creative and innovative guidance, recommendations, and industry best practices across key business components.
Maintain deep knowledge of omni-channel marketing, consumer products, brand strategy.
Support marketing plan design and implementation throughout the clubs’ onboarding process.
Collaborate with internal USL stakeholders for data collection, analysis, best practice sharing.
Maintain regularly scheduled communication with the portfolio of clients using multiple platforms.
Conduct on-site meeting and consultancy support.
Ensure club maximizes revenue generating opportunities across its threshold of offerings.
Maintain and understand market trends.
Other duties/responsibilities as assigned.
4-year degree in marketing, business or related field preferred.
Minimum five (5) years of sports marketing experience with focus on revenue generation.
Previous CRM platform integration experience.
Advanced experience presenting and conducting in-person and virtual meetings.
Experience working with / managing marketing and media agencies.
Extensive experience developing and executing digital and social media-based creative solutions.
Strong problem-solving skills focused on creative solutions.
Previous budget management experience.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with team members, executives, member clubs, and external partners.
Ability to work independently in a multi-faceted, fast, fluid, and deadline-driven environment.
Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Ability to work as business needs require which may include long days, evenings, weekends, occasional holidays, and travel if / when necessary.
Must have U.S. work authorization.
