We are responsible for promoting and developing the game at all levels; from grass roots through to the professional game, The FA Cup and the England International teams, and has two core assets: Wembley Stadium and St George’s Park.

Role Description

Support continuous improvement through systematic review processes and maintain regulatory requirements across qualifications and coursesSupport the evaluation of learning effectiveness and impact and lead on quality assurance of regulated qualifications and assessment across FA Education.   

Key Accountabilities
  • Design, implement and manage assessment and quality assurance practices including quality assurance records, assessment documentation and relevant training material in order to ensure regulatory requirements are met. 
  • Provide specialised training, advice and guidance on work-based assessment and quality assurance processes. 
  • Design and develop a range of evaluation tools to monitor the effectiveness of learning solutions. 
  • Work with the team to identify what information and processes are necessary to assess the impact of learning solutions.  
  • Utilise market intelligence and performance data, including benchmarking to understand competitor standards and make improvements to learning solutions. 
  • Provide expertise in evaluation to support the team in iterative development and programme improvement.   
  • Review the effectiveness of learning solutions using relevant insights, data and metrics to provide recommendations. 
  • Be the point of contact for external qualification awarding bodies where appropriate. 
  • Execute additional tasks as required to meet FA Group / FA Education's changing priorities. 
What we are looking for


  • Experience of learning evaluation and quality assurance approaches. 
  • Broad range of practical application of work-based assessment and evaluation. 
  • Experience of managing and coordinating internal quality assurance processes for qualifications and accredited learning programmes.  
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced quality development environment in the delivery of high-quality learning experiences.  
  • Ability to work effectively with a network of remote internal and external stakeholders 
  • Ability to practically choose & apply research methodology for learning evaluation contexts 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 
  • Competent in using IT including Microsoft packages 
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills  
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills  
  • Ability to influence organisational thinking  


  • Qualified Assessor (e.g. AQA, A1, D32, CAVA etc.)  
  • Qualified Internal Quality Assurer (e.g. IQA, V1 or D34) 
  • Training & Development lead body level 4 qualification (e.g. CTTLS or equivalent). 
  • Understanding of FA Education learning programmes and assessment processes relating to Awarding body and UEFA requirements. 
  • Experience of a sporting organisation / association 

Full clean driving licence required
