Job Description

Position Summary
FC Tulsa is seeking a driven and collaborative Communications Coordinator who is committed to telling the story of FC Tulsa through earned and owned media channels. The Communication Coordinator will be responsible for assisting with stories and content on, providing local media with story ideas and matchday materials and coordinating interviews between players and media members. This role will also assist with FC Tulsa’s home and road broadcasts, including production meetings, sponsored assets, broadcast reads, storylines, etc.
FC Tulsa is looking for a hard worker who is people-focused and relationship-driven but uses data to support the strategy behind the day-to-day operation of FC Tulsa communications. This role calls for a team player who is fun, engaging and a hard worker. 
This position will report to the Head of Communication & Digital.
  Position Responsibilities
  • Working closely with FC Tulsa coaches, players and staff to cover the team and create content through earned and owned media channels. 
  • Helping to maintain excellence with FC Tulsa’s home and road broadcasts to provide FC Tulsa fans at home the best soccer TV viewing experience possible.
  • Organizing and maintaining all FC Tulsa communications materials including a club record book, match notes, media availability, etc.
  • Assisting with press releases to local and national media.
  • Assisting with managing the back end of the club’s website, 
  • Managing a Communications intern.
  • Strong work ethic, team-oriented attitude, and enthusiasm about contributing to the success of the department and club.
  • Must be able to work nights and weekends.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Other various tasks as needed.
 Qualifications, Education and/or Experience
  • Internship experience in college or professional communications and/or public relations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Sports Marketing, or a related field.
  • A knowledge of American soccer and the USL Championship.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • The ability to speak and write in Spanish is preferred.
