JOB TITLE: Marketing Technology Manager
REPORTING TO: Marketing Lead – Digital Platforms & Delivery
JOB FUNCTION: The Marketing Technology Manager is responsible for ensuring that the Chelsea FC marketing tech stack is at the forefront of capability, supporting the wider marketing strategy and KPIs. The role operates across multiple platforms, environments & teams, forming a pivotal role between product marketers, the digital team and the insights team.
As the SME on all things marketing tech, we are looking for someone with performance marketing experience who is familiar with campaign management and optimisation, but can also look at the wider architecture at CFC and work out how best to use the data we have available.
We’re looking for a confident self-starter, comfortable identifying use cases from the wider marketing team, refining and prioritising these, and working out the best path to fulfil them.

LOCATION: Stamford Bridge, Fulham
CONTRACT: Permanent (35 hours per week) 
•       Developing a roadmap for the marketing architecture including the proactive selection and implementation of new technology. Tools include marketing insight, attribution, segmentation & orchestration and deployment.
•       Enhancing marketing capabilities in the team through identification, validation and prioritisation of business use cases for the current tech stack
•       Working with Insights to ensure web and app data points are correctly captured during the feature build process to fulfil the reporting and optimisation requirements for the wider team.
•       Supporting in requirements gathering, enhancing & maintaining a marketing data warehouse, ensuring highest data quality and consistent data architecture in conjunction with a Data Engineer and agency support.
•       Working with Insights, Platforms & Performance Marketing to ensure that marketing tags are well defined, implemented & governed.
•       Supporting in the governance of marketing data quality in parallel with Legal & Information Security, including but not limited to GDPR compliance and technical changes from providers (e.g. iOS14).
•       Identifying where useful links can be made between data sources and software based on business use cases and working with the Data Engineer to implement these.
•       Supporting in the management of contracts for vendors, including existing renewals and RFPs for new suppliers.
•       Acting as a consultant and SME to marketing stakeholders to ensure the correct marketing and campaign performance metrics are captured, delivered and clearly tracked, and identifying solutions to more challenging KPI measurements.
•       Achievement of platform stability & technical performance metrics
•       Great data availability & quality
•       On time & on budget delivery of projects
•       Successfully managing relationships across the marketing team
•       2+ years of experience in technical marketing or marketing technology environments
•       Previous experience as a performance marketer, or working closely with a marketing team.
•       Experience with Tag Management solutions (GTM) and using these to implement tracking and tags.
•       Experience managing a roadmap for technical projects and the successful implementation of these.
•       Experience in onboarding non-technical users on to new software, encouraging adoption and leading change management.
•       Commitment to high standards and attention to detail.
Desirable, but not essential
•       Experience with cloud technologies (e.g. AWS, GCP)
•       Experience with the following languages: SQL, Python, Javascript
