Job Description

Ashton Gate Stadium is a unique sports and entertainment business with the core aim of providing integral support services to ensure the sustainability of Stephen Lansdown’s sporting group of companies which includes Bristol Sport, Bristol City, Bristol Bears, Bristol Flyers Basketball and each of their respective community charities.

Summary

We are looking for a Management Accountant to join our Finance team on a temporary basis to cover Maternity Leave.

  • Manage all accounting operations for Bristol City Football Club, including Banking, payments, employee expenses, GL, AR and Revenue Recognition
  • Oversight of BCFC AP
  • Ensure that month end is complete on an accurate and timely basis for BCFC and produce monthly accounts, including balance sheet reconciliations
  • Hold monthly management accounting meetings with budget holders
  • Ensure all game returns are complete and levies are paid to the EFL within deadlines
  • Monthly VAT reconciliations and quarterly VAT returns
  • Ensure solidarity payments are made accurate and on time
  • Assist with the preparation of the audit
  • Preparing of Bristol City Women accounts and management of all the accounting operations.
  • Cash flow forecasts
  • To support the Bristol City Financial Controller with ad hoc tasks as required
