The Job 

Based at our City Football Academy at Casey Fields, the role of the Bookkeeper is to manage and provide bookkeeping and payroll services and assist with accounting tasks in support of the payable, receivable and reporting functions within the club’s finance team, across the various group entities. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Co-ordinate the accounts payable payment processing function 
  • Co-ordinate the accounts receivable function 
  • Bank reconciliation, posting and balancing 
  • Processing payroll and other related payroll tasks 
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to reach the desired outcomes 
  • Collation and processing of AP data and invoices for regular payment runs 
  • Assist with third party supplier invoice queries, issues and approvals 
  • Assist with sales invoice processing, distribution and reconciliations 
  • Recording of third party sales remittances 
  • Corporate purchasing card processing and reconciliations 
  • Processing and reconciling petty cash 
  • General financial reporting and analysis requests when required 
  • Assistance with month-end reporting obligations 
  • Ad-hoc support to all finance functions 
  • Filing, storage, achieving and ad-hoc administration duties 

What we Need From You 

  • Cert IV in Accounting & Booking or equivalent working experience in bookkeeping or business services role (4 + years). 
  • Experience across a wide range of accounting functions. 
  • Strong knowledge and experience using MYOB AccountRight 
  • Experience in preparing payroll with proven knowledge of Awards and legislation. 
  • Exceptional organisation and communication skills – discretion and confidentiality are crucial at all times 
  • Strong administrative, and data entry skills 
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook) on a PC based platform 
  • Proven ability to manage tasks from conception to completion with strong time management and prioritisation skills.
